Location
Role Overview
Key Responsibilities and Work assignments
- Perform, evaluate and document experiments for method development of functional assays, including cell-based assays (e.g. potency, CDC, ADCC, ADCP, apoptosis assay, proliferation assay) and binding assays (e.g. Biacore/SPR) according to ICH guidelines.
- Handle cell lines and primary cells (e.g. isolation, freezing, thawing, propagation, testing).
- Analyze samples to support the development of therapeutic candidates across various departments/process steps.
- Perform, evaluate and document functional assays for analytical similarity and comparability studies.
- Draft regulatory documents, including SOPs, R&D-Procedures and development reports.
- Support method validation and method transfer activities.
- Take care of laboratory equipment (e.g., perform instrument maintenance and qualification) and support laboratory management tasks.
- The role will be primarily lab-based.
Your profile
- B.Sc. in relevant scientific discipline (life sciences such as biology, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology, etc.) with minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience, or M.Sc. with 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working with mammalian cell lines under aseptic conditions, including culture initiation, propagation and cryopreservation is a must. Separation and purification of primary human cells is a plus.
- Experience with potency and bioassay development (e.g., CDC, ADCC, proliferation, apoptosis) for monoclonal antibody analysis is required. Experience with other modalities is a plus.
- Experience with relevant analytical methods (e.g., ELISA formats, Flow Cytometry) is required.
- Experience with biochemical and biophysical methods for binding characterization (e.g., Biacore/SPR) is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and precise work habits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using a PC and common Microsoft packages. Experience with specific laboratory instrumentation (e.g., Biacore T200 and 8K, MSD, Flow cytometer, microplate reader) and analysis software (e.g., SoftMax, Methodical Mind, MACSQuantify, Biacore Insight) is a plus.
Language: English, German is beneficial.
Work Experience: Industrial work experience (biotechnology/biopharma) is highly appreciated.
